Fiesta Bowl expands partnership with StatBroadcast to include mobile live stats

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZ. -- The Fiesta Bowl and StatBroadcast Systems reached agreement today to continue their partnership for the upcoming year and expand the services which StatBroadcast provides for the two Arizona-based bowl games to include media stats services, a live stats feed via the web and live stats for fans in attendance via the mobile web.

This year, the Fiesta Bowl and the Insight Bowl will become the first college football bowl games to offer its fans in attendance the ability to follow a live feed of the game statistics directly from mobile phones while at the stadium. The StatBroadcast Mobile platform is available via mobile web for all major smartphone providers and is currently used by 11 different universities located throughout the nation. In addition to the mobile feed, StatBroadcast will also provide a live stats feed via the Fiesta Bowl's website and continue to provide its StatMonitr system for on-site media.

As StatBroadcast's flagship client, the Fiesta Bowl has utilized the StatMonitr web stats system for media and wireless stat monitors at its two bowl games, The Tostitos Fiesta Bowl and the Insight Bowl, for the past eight years. A part of the Bowl Championship Series, the Fiesta Bowl will be played on Jan. 2, 2012, at University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Ariz. The Insight Bowl, which features a matchup of Big 12 and Big Ten teams, will be played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz. on December 30, 2011.
